Student Academic Math Program
BTH STAMP
"Stamp out the reluctance to be a high achiever in math"
  • Program Structure

The BTHSTAMP program tracks the Virginia state math curriculum outline for elementary through high school grades. Included in these outlines is the material incorporated in the SOL exam for each grade. More specifically, BTHSTAMP is divided into two major components:
    * Basic Math/Arithmetic: This component is focused on the math curriculum for grades 3 thru 6 and uses a variety of techniques to help students gain a sound understanding of the math/arithmetic fundamentals, which form the basis for future course work.
  • More

    * Advanced Math: This component focuses on more advanced math topics, such as pre-algebra, statistics, algebra 1 & 2, geometry, trigonometry, and pre-calculus, which are the foundation of the math curriculum for middle and high school grades. While the primary goal of the BTHSTAMP tutoring sessions is to develop an understanding of math fundamentals, tutors can help students with homework and preparation for quizzes and tests.
  • Program Sessions

BTH STAMP offers one-hour math tutoring sessions. Sessions can be either live or virtual. Live sessions are held in the BTH conference room, which is located at 5547 Lee Highway, Second Floor, Arlington, VA.
We off offer both private and small group sessions (Max. three students.)
There is an orientation session for individuals/parents prior to their first session to discuss areas that the child needs help and to get parents input. This can be performed via zoom or over the phone.
  • BTH STAMP: Focus

While the BTH Student Academic Math Program, (BTHSTAMP), offers math tutoring to any young person desiring such, its primary goal is to assist those young people who for a variety of reasons, struggle with math. The key objective of BTHSTAMP is to provide supplemental math tutoring that will fill in gaps of understanding in order (1) to establish strong fundamentals to build upon, and (2) motivate students to want to learn in a way that makes it fun.
